Greetings,
I'm attempting to connect an 896MK3 and a Phonic Helix board to a Macbook Pro, via the computer's single firewire port. Has anyone been successful in doing this? Both interfaces work seperately, but when I daisy chain them together neither appears in the AudioMidi setup.
Thanks.

Re: best comping method
I useta do it that way to, but have found an extrememly more efficient method that suits my needs. I place all of my options in separate takes for the track in question. I then toggle between takes to make my choices. It's much easier and faster than play enabling and muting tracks. I also only work...

Re: That DiscWelder - does it work?
Yes. You may only get the multi-channel audio via the analog outputs. However, if you have a G5, you may output multi-channel audio via the digital out- DVD-Video (AC-3) or DTS. The Minnetonka DTS-CD software is also very hip. Be forewarned, you must have a DTS decoder to hear a DTS CD...

Re: That DiscWelder - does it work?
I've only used Discwelder on my G5. It does not support SDII files. Only AIFF and WAV.... You'll have to import the interleaved surround mix as separate files i.e.: soundfile.5.1.L soundfile.5.1.R soundfile.5.1.C soundfile.5.1.Lfe soundfile.5.1.Ls soundfile.5.1.Rs I've played my discs on two differe...

I've been using Discwelder Bronze for about 6 months. It works flawlessly. There is a new update for Macs that adds support for Dual Layer DVD burners....

Re: Kinda OT: Your favorite Pop 5.1 mixes, DualDisc 5.1 mixe
I've bought a few. The last two Steely Dan releases, Sheryl Crow: the Globe Sessions and the Foo Fighters: One by One.. We also have an Alesis system to reference our mixes at the studio. I say this, because listening to these 5.1 releases in a prosumer environment makes me think that the 5.1 format...
