Re: Successful surgery on my MacBook Pro...

If I may add on the MBP surgery tips: I went further and got the "replacing the optical Drive by a 2nd HD" toolkit It comes form owc also and I know have a small SSD as an OS Drive and a 7200 750GB HD as a data drive. Dwetmaster, sounds like a great system. I have been considering doing t...

Re: The Ultimate DP Training Series DVD?

Could some one chime in on what they think about Tutorial Depot Videos Concerning DP and what they think of them? :deadhorse: I have just started looking at them. The Tutorial Depot website if somewhat convoluted. Which makes difficult to understand what you want and how to get it. However, I purch...

The Ultimate DP Training Series DVD?

Initially I found the Mac Audiolabs DVD difficult to follow. However, I am new to using DP, or any DAW. I found Sam McGuires tutorial at VTC to be very helpful. Sam doesn't hurry through the material, which I like. He also starts out very basic. After going through Sam's tutorials I found the Audiol...

Re: Any recommendation for a good book/video tutorials for D

I have scoured the internet looking for good DP training. What you want will really depend on how far along the curve you are in understanding Digital Music Production. I am a newcomer and I found the tutorial at VTC.com to be very helpful. Very basic, but I like the way it's done. The presenter tal...

Re: The last sampler you'll ever need?

As anyone ever tried to use Scarbee products in Mach Five? I am sold on Scarbee's stuff (Bass and Keys) so I am leaning toward Kontakt, but I can see that Mach Five is easier to use. I like things to be easy to use. Anyone have any comments?
Thanks

5400 vs 7200?

I am getting ready to update the HD in my macbook pro (Late 2008 Unibody). I like the idea of installing a 500gb drive, but only 5400 rpm drives are offered. 7200 rpm drives are available, but only 320gb. I am just getting started, I need to know if the 5400 rpm drive is fast enough. I will be using...
