Re: Trouble using Drum Loops
Thanks on the tip for auditioning directly from the folder. That does work. The files have .WAV extensions. When I drag the file to the SE and drop it in, a track pops up but there is no Waveform. The track is empty. As far as experience goes, I have been using DP since DP3 and am currently running ...

Trouble using Drum Loops
Greetings fellow users. It has been a long time since I have posted anything on this site. Been more concerned with gigging than recording. Anyway, I am settling down to do some song writing and want to use drum loops for my scratch tracks. I downloaded some loops from the Loop Loft and they are Wav...

Re: DP not seeing PC1 424 card [RESOLVED]
Thanks for the information. It makes perfect sense. This is the first time I have used my 2408 since switching from a G4 to a Mac Pro but I don't recall ever having that problem with my G4.

DP not seeing PC1 424 card [RESOLVED]
I finally broke down and purchased a PCI 424 card for my Mac Pro so that I could use my 2408MK3 instead of my 828MK2. I downloaded and installed the latest audio drivers which is an all in one package. If the Mac has been sleeping and I turn it and the 2408 on, DP will not see the PCI card unless I ...

Now that I know what they are called, I have located several on Ebay. (Not cheap)

Re: Hard Drive Mounting Screws & Grommets for Mac Pro
Yes, I am referring to the screws and grommets that I assumed would be in each of the spare trays. None of the spare "drawers" have any. I got this unit used and, perhaps, the previous owner removed them? This is my first Mac Pro so I don't know if the spare drawers are supposed to have th...

Hard Drive Mounting Screws & Grommets for Mac Pro
Where can I find some screws and grommets for the additional hard drive trays for my Mac Pro? I acquired a spare hard drive and it didn't come with these parts.

DP8 (Back in the saddle part 2)
It has been a while since I spent any time on this site. Life took me away from recording for a few years and now life has brought me back. Time to let go of my trusty old G4 and upgrade to a newer Mac. Got a really good deal on a used Macpro dual quad core 3ghz. I've spent a fair amount of coin upg...

Re: Mac advice for getting back in the saddle
Well folks, long story as to how I ended up with what I purchased. I got a dual quad core 3ghz with 16 gigs of ram. Waiting for my DP8 to show up. Gonna use the 828 mkII for a while until I can put together some coin for a new CPI card. Looks like I can get almost what I need by selling my X card on...

Re: Mac advice for getting back in the saddle
All good info guys. I am seeing a lot of Quad 2.66 and 2.8 for under a grand. Either one better or worse than the other? (aside from horsepower)

Re: Mac advice for getting back in the saddle
Thanks for the info. I am definitely looking at going with a Mac Pro. So, if I do that, I'll have to upgrade the card (again). I just upgraded to the X 3 years ago because my original crapped out.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Mac advice for getting back in the saddle
Greetings fellow Mac & DP users. I have been away from this site for a few years. (Between getting married and added responsibilities of the day job, I had to put the music down for a while) Any way, I recently fired up the old G4 Dual 1.25 to start working on some new projects and realized that...

Hey Homebilly. I sent you a PM and an email and have not heard back from you. Do you still have that card for sale?
