Re: Ramsa DA7 with DP, share your thoughts?
So how would I clock it to my Mac and DP? Right now I use MOTU 896's as my DA to my monitors. I don't have a master clock. Thanks for the inputs thus far.

Re: Ramsa DA7 with DP, share your thoughts?
Thanks. I use an Alesis HD24XR as my main "tape machine". I also have over 40 channels of outboard pres. I guess I would want to use this mostly for mixing. Though I am not sure if I would want to use it to actually mix or to work with DP and sum in the box. Then again I may want to use it...

Ramsa DA7 with DP, share your thoughts?
It's not the newest board out there. Would it not make sense to add something like this in 2009? Would some other HUI controller work better? Would anyone recommend against a Ramsa? If so why? I haven't researched at all but I assume the board can read and write automation data. Assuming you do not ...

Re: Can a conductor track be imported into another session?
Awesome. There are so many features of DP that I have ignored. This will take another one off of the list. It worked perfectly! Thanks.

Can a conductor track be imported into another session?
I am still in the learning curve for MIDI. I am working on a project with other people. One person is in CuBase on a PC. We are doing separate tasks on a song. Suppose we each have a fair amount of work done. Then some tempo changes were needed. I exported a standard MIDI file and the tempo was modi...

Can MIDI tracks be "bounced" for lack of a better term.
I have two separate MIDI tracks in one session. One has data in the top few octave and one in the lower few. None of the notes would over lap. I did a bunch of work in a second track thinking I would be able to copy and paste into the other one. I guess I learned that it will overwrite all of the ol...

Are you locked to an external clock of any sort or using your internal clock?

conductor tempo and waveform display, relate how?
I am working on some MIDI transcription. I am a bit new to using MIDI and the conductor track. I had mapped out the temp on cubase at one of the bend members studio. I took the MIDI file back to my place and am working on it in DP. I noticed our tempo map got off in an upbeat section. I have been wo...

Re: manually adding MIDI notes in waveform editor view
Jesus, I knew that. I meant Sequence when I was saying Waveform Editor. I don't even use the actual Waveform Editor. I usually use Peak for that stuff if and when. Pencil Tool. I am the tool in this case. Thanks. I think I have had the tool bar hidden for a few years straight. Almost forgot it exist...

manually adding MIDI notes in waveform editor view
I hate to have to ask this. I am needing to transcribe drum parts to MIDI. It is not straight forward drumming that I can copy a measure or quantize to a standard. For the most part I need to be looking a a measure with audio tracks under the MIDI track and add a MIDI note where the kick hits, and t...

Re: Tempo Mapping/Beat Detections in DP
Thanks for the link. I swear that I searched "tempo mapping" and it hit zero times. I'll check those posts out though for sure.

Tempo Mapping/Beat Detections in DP
New forum looks great! I've got it bookmarked and hopefully will be on the forums a bit. I've been looking for info on this. I've never really had the need. I mostly record live music. I will be working on some new stuff that will require me to map the temp for songs measure by measure. Honestly I'v...

quick help? need to undo some wierd change in behavior (pic)
I am not even sure the terms to be used to describe so I had to take a couple of snaps. I must be inadvertently key stroking something to change a behavior I do not know about. I use DP for mixing and playback. No composing, MIDI, or anything else. I have had this happen a few times and I need to kn...
