If you have quicktime pro, convert it to a .dv and see if it works that way.

Off topic - "A" is 440kHZ, what's "B"?

Does anyone have a resource to help me determine what the different kHZ are for musical notes? Thanks! :)

that's correct, DP does not export audio from VIs as you describe the way it does in Logic. You have to create a stereo mix PRINT first, then bounce that track.

Just create a new stereo audio track and use your master out as your input and record.

I've run into this problem before, I think what's happening is you're listening to audio from the QT movie. Don't do this, instead import the audio from the QT movie into DP as a audio file. Turn off the sound in the QT window.

You didn't change sample rates for that particular song, did you? Like everything else is in 48 and that one is 44? I get a crash once in a while when I go from one to another.

full 30/60

Nope, we run full length :30 and :60s in the U.S. Some spots do have fadeout to black - like between a 8 - 15 frame fadeout -- but sound just matches whatever visual is doing. We do use NTSC non-drop 30 frame format for commercials, if that is an issue with any timings of your music. Good luck - Joh...

music for spots

My 2 cents -- I actually work as a freelance agency producer as well as a composer/music producer -- I've worked for several music houses on staff, and continue to do some freelance work for some music houses. I really think your best bet of "breaking in to the biz" is doing some writing f...

I JUST updated to Tiger 10.4.4 (well, now I just updated to 10.4.5!) two days ago with DP 4.61. I had a couple of bugs: MACH5 -- I had to dump out the old driver and install the latest version, I had a bug where the sounds were there, but you couldn't see any of the type! You have to REMOVE it and p...

Help, Canopus Users!

Hey all, I just upgraded to Tiger 10.4.4 using DP 4.6.1 and got most of the bugs worked out (MIDI problems, MACH 5). Now my last hurdle is that I can't seem to get the ADVC100 to show up. I use it to send video to a regular TV monitor for post score. Previously in Jaguar I had no issues. Now, the QT...

What are you using for a MIDI interface? Is it a MOTU unit? Make sure you download the latest drivers, install with the MIDI interface OFF, then reboot. Turn the MIDI interface on after, then launch DP. I had a similiar problem when I installed 4.61. I still am having some issue but at least my virt...

MIDI input not working!

Hey guys, I upgraded to 4.61 and installed the latest MIDI drivers from the MOTU site, and my MIDI function has gone away. I can't trigger hardware or software MIDI from my keyboard controller (Fatar Studio 900), although existing MIDI info in the sequencer will play back. I see the MTP/AV MIDI ligh...

good deal/user board

Yeah, I have a DA7 board and I'm very happy with it - it's too bad they stopped making them, it is a very good sounding digital board, I like it better than the Yahamas. It seems like overkill these days since I do all my mixing in DP but it's nice to have to use some of my external devices and the ...
