Fine tune I/O settings

Hi to all the DeeP'sters out there, I was just curious about the I/O fine settings values you guys are typically using. I just used the DP 'calibration' session template, and recorded the audio snare track back to my DP and set the offset to -367 so that the recorded snare is exactly at the same pla...

stereo bounce in DP 4.6

Dear All, What s the best way to bounce a 24/44.1 full session to a 'mastering ready' stereo mix ? Do you just do a 'bounce to disk', or has someone else noticed a difference in quality when routing all the tracks to a stereo bus linked to a record enabled stereo track wich records the mix in real t...

Re: What is your main Vocal mic

Guys , don t get me wrong : Of course there s a HUGE difference between a Sm 57 and a condenser mic ! What I am saying is that one is not necessarily better that the other, it s all a matter of taste and artistic choice. In some situations the SM 57 will be great ! Get rid of the 20k outboard gear and the SM 57 still compares in the same interesti...

Re: DP 4.52 & Tiger = big joke ?

Yes Dix, you re right, OS 9 is the past and it s time to move on, as Apple doesn t seem to leave us the choice anyway. Shame Dp 2.7 doesnt run on classic on a G5, it would fly !!! It s frustrating that a G5 doesn t even provide the level of flawless user experience that an old G3 under 9.2 and DP 2....

Re: DP 4.52 & Tiger = big joke ?

What type of Buffer Size settings are you guys using ? Host Buffer Multiplier ? Work priority ? What about disk read/write size and buffer per voice ? My system is running again, it was a conflict between the Mac Audio MIDI setup menu and the hardware setup in DP , one was setting the audio input at...

Re: What is your main Vocal mic

This is a weird one : SM 57 works great on vocals !

Bjork records her vocals with it, you might wanna give it a try ;-)

All the best
