PDF Manual
I know the concept of a PDF manual for DP is a long running joke. But there is a need for this. I've been using DP since 2.5 (am on 7.12) and have paid for it and for every upgrade, bought MOTU converters, MOTU midi-interfaces ... the works. It's all paid for and legal. I'm about to go on a 2-month ...

Re: Slowdown in making selections in Quickscribe (DP6.02)
I've now upgraded to 7.1 and the overly sensitive notation is still a problem. I liked the algorithm in 5.1 and before for when Quickscribe would round up to a whole or half note, etc. I hope someone at MOTU is paying attention to this. It was a deal-breaker for me before in 6.0 and I backed out to ...

Re: Slowdown in making selections in Quickscribe (DP6.02)
I'm having the same memory-leak-style problem in QuickScribe in 6.02 but not in 5.1. Another problem I have in 6.02 but not in 5.1 is Quickscribe's oversensitivity to the duration one plays (or edits graphically) a note. While I can't find in either version of DP a way to set the notation to be more...

"Transcription line breaking"
What does the "Transcription line breaking" window mean? The only way out of it I've found is to hit "escape". And the DP crashes.

Thanks!
Thank you all. I'm gonna hang onto this old gear and see whether I can eventually make it all work ... I have no lightpipe on the 1224, which is my main interface so I'll need to upgrade that before moving forward on this. In the meantime, my "new" (2004) G5 is doing beautifully handling a...

Mac as an external device running virtual instruments
I've just upgraded to a G5. I still own my G4. I'm running lots of VIs. I'd like to be able to set up the G4 to run some of these .. to split the load. I understand that I need to have a MIDI interface on each machine. I've been told I need lightpipe to get the audio from the external to the main ma...

Ethno Install
I just installed Ethno. It's working fine. I have some questions, though. Will it continue to work fine if I move the .dat and .ufs files to an external drive? Is there an optimal location for these files? Are there advantages to having them on an external drive? Will Ethno continue to work if I mov...
