somewhat misleading though, don't you think?.

guess i'll do a proper test to see exactly how those inputs are calibrated.. but seeing those levels differ between the motu and the Dakings worries me.

depending on style , you have several options, a basic setup could be: 1 kick 2 snare 3 overhead L 4 overhead R 5 bass DI (straight into the 8 pre evt) 6 guitar mic 7 keys (straight in) 8 vocals or: you could use just one overhead (mono drums) and have keys stereo, or: have just one mic on the drums...

hey all, it reads in the ultralite's specs that you can switch the input level between +4 and -10 dB (pro/consumer level), but HOW DO YOU DO THAT???? while recording drums through daking preamps into the ultralites line inputs, the level on the pres was quite low, while my inputs were clipping!
