NI Electronic Instruments 2XT seem like pretty greedy beasts. I've tried limited versions of limelite and Metaphysical Function on my 1 ghz alubook and the latter draws 60% of my cpu. I'm trying to avoid moving up. Its my understanding that the newer systems make the fan run more on the powerbooks. Since I use it as my recording machine, I want to keep it as quiet as I can. I had the same problem with 10.3.3 and upagraded to 10.3.8. Now, 4.6 is ok.
