I've seen that a couple of times on my 896. The last time that it happened, power cycling the unit cleared it up. Power cycling the unit cured that problem, but the reason that problem started is that the firewire port went bad. Just because I read about 15 threads without this answer last night I'...

Re: Is my 896HD "busted"?
I have the same problem. Anyone know what this means or how to fix it?MrVideo wrote:Just recently I power up my 896HD and the fantastic dance of lights normally goes on a few seconds then settles in, but since the last power up, the dance goes on continually?
What does that mean?
Thanks.

Re: XP64
I have 8gb of RAM. I figure that is the problem. My HD 896HD works perfectly on my 32-bit system, same setup.Rinmeister wrote:Just curious: under system properties in XP does it show 4 gigs of RAM available?
All the best

Re: Problems with X64 and MOTU 828 MK2
Are there any updates on this? I have exactly the same issue. Under XP 32 bits everything works fine, under X64 I get no, or very cracky sound. I did the setup twice following the instructions and doing the steps in the right order. No success though. Right now I also went back to 32 bits XP but it...

Re: Motu 8pre MIDI corruption with XP x64 20071010 drivers
Are there newer drivers anywhere that aren't on the MOTU site?strungdown wrote:I upgraded to the 20071010 beta drivers to fix the no sound issue. Now I am getting random MIDI notes when recording through the 8pre. So I contacted tech support and wait for reply.

What do you have the output bus of Vegas set to? If your output source in your DAW isn't set to the Headphones .... you'll hear nothing. Likely your output source is set to the Mains. You can set the headphone output to mimic the Mains in the MOTU control panel. Or, correct the output assignment in...

no sound from phones on 896HD
I installed a fresh copy of Windows and now I can't get my MOTU unti working right. I know my 896HD is installed properly because I can hear my mic perfectly through my headphones. The drivers seem to be in working order because CueMix works fine and controls the interface. I'm also able to record f...

896HD Setup Issues
What files do you need to download to setup the 896HD. There are two packs of drivers on the MOTU site: MOTU_Audio3.6.7.0.zip SETUPFW3.5.3.2.zip So far, I think MOTU is a joke, but I'm gonna fool around with this for a few more days before I return it for something that has drivers and from a compan...

What exactly do I need to download to install my 896HD?
I've started over with a system restore each time and everytime, and everytime I reinstall the 896HD I install: MOTU_Audio3.6.7.0.zip SETUPFW3.5.3.2.zip Those seem to be the two files needed for the 896hd to work. I reboot and windows finds new hardware and finds most of the drivers except one drive...

896hd install problems, Unknown driver needed...where is it?
Ran the two setup.exe files MOTU_Audio3.6.7.0 and the SETUPFW3.5.3.2.zip and rebooted and turned on the interfcae. Windows installs all the drives necessary, but then finds and UNKNOWN driver that it is searching for. Where is this driver? Can it be downloaded? If I try and run the audio setup witho...
