Hi Jack,
Thanks for your help on this. It makes perfect sense what you say about headphones taking no power.
I've just ordered a 2nd hand pair of Edirol MA-15 powered speakers. They should do the job.
Thanks again!
Alan

Hi there,
Was hoping someone could tell me, does the MOTU Traveler mkII work with best with passive or powered speakers?
I have been using headphones so far and now looking to get some speakers.

Any thoughts ?
Does no-one here have any thoughts on this so far? What i am saying in this topic is that the general-midi sounds of windows xp cannot route thru the Traveler like mp3 or wave files. So, in a multritracker like Cubase the audio tracks go through the MOTU Traveler whilst the MIDI tracks go through th...

what size rack to mount Traveler ?
An easy question i think (not so easy for me). What size effects-rack (how many inches wide) would i need to rack-mount my motu-traveler ? I probably stuffed up, but i measured my traveler as being 16.5 inches wide, whereas i only see 19" rack-mounts are for sale. Can anyone enlighten this igno...

general-midi route thru Traveler under XinXP ?
Hello Does anyone have any solutions or ideas for the problem i have with my Traveler? I have an intel-imac running both macOSX and WinXP (dual-boot). Under the macOS, the CoreMIDI sound output can be routed through the Traveler along with audio, no-problems. But when running under WindowsXP there i...

Thanks again Gameu I'll keep looking around the Control Panel and see if i can get it working. Im going to also download the latest update of BootCamp next week (WinXP for imac), which has updated SigmaTel audio/MIDI driver. Hopefully that smooths things out. Thanks for your advice on softsynths. I ...

Great suggestion, unfortunately didnt fix problem
Hi Gameu and others, I tried your good suggestion and made some progress, but in my case unfortunately the problem was not fixed. The sound output of windows was originally set to "MOTU Analog" (traveler 1-2 was not an option). Now, on the MOTU setup window i ticked the box "Enable WD...

cannot route MIDI instrument sounds thru MOTU
Hello Everyone Ive just bought a MOTU Traveler thru ebay recently to use with my intel-imac, which has WinXPPro setup through bootcamp. The audio part of Traveler works fine, though the MIDI is proving more tricky. At fist i set the Traveler as my MIDI driver, until i realised that the Traveler does...
