Re: Beat Detection

I have found part of my issue. For some reason, sync points were all over the place on my tracks, and when I tried to adjust sequence to soundbite tempo, it was aligning these misplaced sync points. Still figuring it out, I'll update when I make headway. Thanks to everyone for the helpful comments. ...

Re: Beat Detection

Once again, I know I'm missing something simple. I think it might be a selection issue. In the Sequence Editor, I went to copy beats from my analyzed track (in this case, my Kick). A dialogue comes up asking where I want to copy from (even though only my Kick is selected). The copy button is grayed ...

Beat Detection

Hi all. Finally coming back to the board (and DP in general) after a fairly long hiatus living with Logic & Pro Tools. Some recent indie film projects have led me to realize that the feature set in DP contains a lot of what I'd wished I had while working on these projects, so I'm trying to crash...

Massive Crash- Horror Story - Help!

Yesterday I was doing a live recording with a redundant backup. I had a massive crash and I'm trying to determine the cause. First the equipment, G5 dual 1.8 GHz w/ 1.5 GB RAM (10.3.9 OS X) Quantegy branded Firewire 400 hard drive (works fine with Pro Tools HD systems) two 2408 Mk II interfaces with...

Re: Horn section samples needed for Funk/R&b

Don't forget Ilio's Memphis Horns sample discs. Very, very cool. (Of course, I'm a little biased as I recorded it!)

Re: DP with Digi 002

It's all in the clock. I used to have a ProTools 24mix rig with the stock digi I/O boxes. I found that there was a little bit of a veiled quality when listening to the convertors on their own. However, when I started running the system clocked to an external Apogee box the sound tightened up and foc...
