Re: opening DP9 project after expired DP10 demo

Problem solved. A DP guy was willing to help me, I sent him my project file, he converted it to DP9, sent it back and it's working fine. :D :D :D :D :D

Re: opening DP9 project after expired DP10 demo

Ahhh... Yikes! If you can roll back your system clock to before the DP 10 time out date, this should allow you to reopen 10. You may have to disconnect from the internet temporarily. Then Save As ... a DP 9 project. You’ll still have to reinstall DP 9.52 to bring it back to life. If that doesn’t wo...

There are many threads on this if you want to explore the subject.
I saved one project accidentally as a DP 10 project and I can not open it with the reinstalled DP 9.52.
Sorry if this was not clear.

opening DP9 project after expired DP10 demo

Hi! I evaluated DP 10, it is fine, but I don't need it now. I carefully saved my projects as DP9 projects for the time my demo expires. There is one project, which I can not open, I probably altered only the file name and forgot in the night to change the save format from DP10 to DP 9. You think it ...

Re: Mac Mini with DP setup, simple task, possible?

I've been working with a mac mini, 5400 rpm drive and an UAD Apollo Twin since 2014 without any problems. Mix and edit not too complicated rock-pop-jazz 20-48 tracks.

Re: Corrupted audio files recorded with firewire interface

I agree with the advice not to record on the boot drive, but in my case I'm not shure about the risks of overloading the firewire bus if I connect an external FW disk two the second FW port of my Focusrite Pro 40. ( We use three macbooks at home with my musician sons and record always on the interna...

Re: Corrupted audio files recorded with firewire interface

It was not black bars, it was a black stripe on one side of the stereo soundbite - the other side looked normal - and it was of course not during recording, but afterwards. I had the impression of an sampling rate mismatch - all soundbites had a different sampling rate than 48 k. I hope that the dis...

Re: Corrupted audio files recorded with firewire interface

Yes! And the volume was found corrupt and needed repair. :D
Excuse me for not answering your question for the first time, I check my disk every week and the SMART status was always verified. This is a nice example for what routine does with an otherwise open mind.
Thanks!

Re: Corrupted audio files recorded with firewire interface

Thanks. I know that my setup is not top pro, but it has been working for three years. I must have changed something, so I am curious if somebody had similar problems.

Corrupted audio files recorded with firewire interface

It happened the second time that during recording of 24bit 48 khz files ( two stereo, one mono ) with a a white Macbook 1,8, DP 5.13, Focusrite pro 40 - the recorded files turned to be corrupted. Their length was different by the end of the recording - by 1-2 seconds on a 15 minutes long track and d...

When I record live, I stop in every possible pause between songs and save.

Re: Pause - what for ?

Thanks for your comments. My original question was not formulated correct. I meant what for is PAUSE there during audio recording. And I wanted to warn all idiots like me : do not try to pause your audio recording process.
