Re: Anybody using a Presonus Studiolive mixer with DP?

supposedly, DP11 has implemented improved controller updates. I have a Studiolive III 64s. DP10 is very limited... so its not my go-to choice when using the board. Trying to read up if on details any of specifics to added functions... other than whats on the MOTU site. still researching...

Re: iPerformer's Dark Mod and Nova Mod

to tell the truth, I was holding back on buying DP7 till I saw some GUI changes.
I reeeaaallly have taken to the dark mod. I'm in no rush to upgrade, so maybe I'll wait and see what happens. Great job on those mods. They really made a difference for me.

Re: OS X 10.5.8 Update... Any takers?

Hmmm... It appears that the Audio/MIDI setup on PPC only shows properties for "Built in Audio", where as on Intel Machines... you select the properties for "Microphone, Input and Output" and the box on the bottom opens for that particular setting. I think.... I haven't installed ...

Re: OS X 10.5.8 Update... Any takers?

reinstalled 10.5.6 just because I was frustrated. After erasing the disc & doing a clean install, this is what popped up: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h127/wmgweber/audio-NO.png Did all updates, repaired permissions, disk warrior and still... that picture. But, I installed Live 7 and I get ...

Re: OS X 10.5.8 Update... Any takers?

Yeah... I took the leap... and fell down flat. Did the "software update" over the weekend. Thought all was good, until I went to do audio. Seems somehow my "Built in Audio" has vanished!! Completely grayed out in Audio/MIDI. I'm getting my system sounds just fine, but that's all....

Re: *NEW* Guitar to MIDI Converter. Freakin' cool!!!

I got mine from Sweetwater for $99 (including shipping). They were supposed to arrive at Sweetwater on Friday, but I wound up getting mine ON Friday!
Doing the DP pitch to MIDI track thing is great, but this you can use live.

Re: *NEW* Guitar to MIDI Converter. Freakin' cool!!!

I too, have been dabbling in Pitch to MIDI since the introduction of the Roland GR-700 ('84). I can honestly say, for $99 this is a great little mono converter. If you're just looking to input notes into DP, do a ditty using your favorite patch in that new V.I. you got, or whatever. Just a little si...

Re: *NEW* Guitar to MIDI Converter. Freakin' cool!!!

uh... I'd like to tell you, but... my playing isn't really "fast". I do a lot of string jumps and plain ol' weird interval junk... and it follows great! I'm a guitar synth junkie (from vintage to modern - Arp Avatar, Casio PG-380, Roland GR-500 to 700, etc...) other than this being monopho...

Re: Tascam 428 should work in DP ?

Did you look under the Setup Menu for Control Surfaces. I added it there and it's fully functional. BUT,... I still have yet to set it up on my MacMini running 10.5.6 (the true test). I probably wont be able to get to this till next week. I'm currently trying to configure my Ozonic.

Re: Tascam 428 should work in DP ?

I'm running 10.4.11 with DP 6.02 and my US-428 works perfectly. I'm running the latest Tascam driver (3.40) thats available in their Legacy link.
I just installed 10.5.6 on a partition and will let you know how that runs

Re: Meter Levels not showing in Mix and Track window. HELP!!!

I have spent the last 20 minutes and 1/2 a roll of paper towels removing the egg from my face. I knew the answer was obvious (but not THAT obvious!!).
Much thanks to Stephen and MagicD. Now, it's off to refill my coffee mug!
