Maybe i dont need the sync stuff offered in the MIDI timepiece av. If i ultimately have a digi 003 synced up to a master clock and recording MIDI into pro tools. Trying to hook up a non usb MIDI timepiece av to a mac pro. I know i need a pci-express serial card. I am finding all kind of serial cards. syncronization question.
i am slaving a motu miditimepiece av to a lucid clock. Does anyone know if the word clock out is internally terminated in the timepiece, or will i have to terminate it myself. What about the digi 003, is that internally terminated( not using superclock)?

Unfortunately i bought the wrong one on ebay.I wanted the usb.Anyway do i have to run this into the computer, or can i run it standalone? And use it as a MIDI patchbay and router.

Using an older MIDI timepiece
I am trying to hook an older MIDI timepiece av up to my mac pro. Problem is it is not the miditimepiece av usb. Can i hook this up using another cable or is this just a boat anchor to me?

Is this the same as say a master clock? Just different formats to choose from. Is that it's onlt function, to syncronize?
