Re: Record computer audio
Thanks for all of your suggestions, most of which I didnt understand. Haha. This was such a one time, down and dirty thing, all I did was route the track which I was recording on (through a mic set up in front of my monitors) to something other than Main Out 1-2. This got rid of the feedback problem...

Re: Record computer audio
If you have any unused inputs/outputs just route an out to an in. If I recall, Firewire interfaces had a Mix 1 returns computer output as an option in CueMix under File? ...HCM beat me to it. Not sure what you mean. I have ins and outs available, but getting the signal in in the first place is the ...

Re: Record computer audio
IIRC, CueMix provides an checkable option to "Include computer audio"... might do the trick for you. With my old 828mkII, I never needed any separate computer app to get computer audio back into DP. Same for my current 828es; routing within the Routing Page can make this happen. That's ki...

Re: Record computer audio
I see that "Mix 1 returns...." thing, but I cant choose it for some reason. Not sure I would know what to do next anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Record computer audio
How do I do that?
I'm using an 828 mkiii which just goes to my monitors. Aside from just putting a mic in front of the speakers, which of course is extremely crude and feeds back easily, is there a way to route audio playing on my computer back into DP? There must be, but I cant figure it out.

Re: Monitor question
Thanks, Mothra, for this detailed analysis. I dont see anything when I shine a light on it except the reflection of the light. I dont quite understand what the TCON is, but whatever the case, this thing aint worth fixing, given it's age and the price of monitors these days (excluding Apple displays,...

Re: Screen Mirroring?
Well I still dont know what it does exactly, but I found out how to get rid of it. Delightfully simple.
System Settings>Control Center>Screen Mirroring>Dont Show in Menu Bar.
You're welcome.
No button for the orange mic though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Monitor question
Hi All, I have an old (I mean old) Samsung Syncmaster 193s monitor which has been my second monitor on the Mac Mini. It was fine till this morning, but now it shows a pic for about 1 second and then goes black. Power it off and on and it does the same thing over and over. It kind of seems like the m...

Screen Mirroring?
I have installed Sequoia, and happily it "seems" to be working. One question though: Ok, I get the idea/concept of screen mirroring, but what is this new little icon that has appeared in the menu bar for? I'm afraid to click "Change" or "Stop Extending" for fear ...

Ok, what I really meant to say was.....
.....Falcon and SEQUOIA.  I got my OSs mixed up. I already am running Sonoma. Doh!!! So, which brave souls have taken the plunge.....lots, I assume...... and how is it? DP says "seems to be working", UVI (Falcon) says "seems to be working", Spectrasonics says "wor...

Re: Falcon and Sonoma
FYI... for anyone who doesn't have Falcon yet... there's a pretty killer deal going on at Image Line's website. Falcon plus 19 expansions for $199! Even if you half Falcon but not many expansions, might be worthwhile! https://www.image-line.com/specials/uvi-falcon That does seem like a great deal. ...

Re: Falcon and Sonoma
You know I forgot all about the UVI portal. Doh! I was looking for an update button on the plugin itself, or thought the web site would recognise me when I logged in, or something.
Anyway, that worked. Thanks for the reminder CharlzS.

Re: Falcon and Sonoma
What version are you guys using?
I have 2.8.2 and it looks like v3 will cost me $299. At least that's the price in the cart, which is weird, because the cross grade from Mach5 v3 (which is most certainly the way I got Falcon) is only $179
