Re: PCI-424 Dead?
It's strange. I've been using this new driver for a few weeks now. It hasn't been perfect, but it's been working. It seemed like it got progressively worse as time went on. More like the card had a physical problem that eventually led to failure. I don't get it. Maybe it's time for that Lynx upgrade...

Re: PCI-424 Dead?
Strange, indeed. Last weekend, my computer was crash-city in front of a new client. Not cool. Probably 10 crashes in a 10 hour session. But we made it through the session. Today, I go to boot up and it hangs. Won't boot. I removed the 424 card to see what would happen. Machine boots. So I uninstall ...

Dude....SO sorry. I got sidetracked and forgot to post when I got home! Here's the deal.... Motherboard: MSI 845E Max CPU: Intel P4 3.02 with hyperthreading RAM: 1 Gig 184-pin DDR DIMM Like I said before, I bought at least 3 or 4 motherboards before I found one that liked the 324, and all the advice...

WTP....you're in a world of trouble there, but I can give you some info that will help. My advice is - buy the 424. Installs and works in minutes. Your probelm is the 324. Been in your shoes. I have the same card with the same 2408 MK II. Let me get home and I'll give you the specs on my old system....

The 2408 MK II does work with XP Pro, but your problem is most likely with the 324 card and your MB chipset. Certain Intel chipsets work...most other brands won't. A couple of years ago I went through this same problem Took LOTS of time to get it up and working....reading post after post and the pur...

I recently upgraded my system and also went to the PCIe 424 card with my existing 2408 MK II. I'm using Sonar 5. Yesterday, with more than 24 tracks audio (24 bit/48000 and countless instances of compressors, reverbs, autotunes, etc.) on playback, I was able to live monitor and record (with realtime...

2408 MK II Noise on 2,4,6,8, etc.
I've used my 2408 now for quite some time. Got brave the other day and put together a new system and bought the new PCI Express 424 card. Problem I've got now is that on all even numbered channels, I've got digital distortion...sounds like a sync problem, but why only on the even numbered channels -...
