I have actually seen this same problem with an 828mkII when using the optical outs with Logic. I always managed to fix it by turning the optical output on and off again. Its is an odd problem, as when I this same unit is with DP5 or Cubase SX3 it has failed to ever have the same problem. I'm not sur...

You need to do this manually as it will not be updated automatically with the other sercurity updates.

Its is actually very easy to get Motu audio devices to work on your PC. 828mkII USB 2 work just fine I used both the FW and USB2 version and they are exactly the same apart from the way they connect.

And if you are using a PC or PC laptop even more of a reason. If I were to buy another one it would be the USB2.

USB2 is a bit less fagile than firewire as well.

This may sound stupid, but try in the motu audio setup menu try turning your optical in/out on and off several times.


And if your not using optical in/out turn them off.

I'm trying to run a 896hd with a 828MKII daisy chained on a PC with cubase sx 3, but the audio is cutting in and out and the motu units are flash.
