I take it back. I did have a limiter on the master track. Could not just disable it though, had to clear it altogether for the latency to stop.

Followed this thread and am still having the latency problem. So, as it turns out, while I had updated my plug-ins, they needed to be re-activated. As soon as they were, the visual and functional aspects of the plug-ins were restored. Chalk one up to user error. Glad everything now plays nicely.
