Someone elsewhere said the new does not see the old via the new CueMix. If so, you probably have to use the separate control apps in a mixed system and point each to the blind holes known to be the other. Which sounds like a drag.

I've gotten so many crashes on Offline Bounce using stock DP effects that I just don't use any of them, and replace them immediately after opening older projects. I've seen a few mentions of this and I've never seen it. Also, wow, the stock DP plugs to me are one of the top reasons to stay with DP....

The old AVB devices report in AudioMIDI as 32 bit streams via USB and TB.

Deeper unit with some vent holes on top, should be better heat management. I bet it still needs open space above and below. USB 4 will solve the old TB to USB-C adapter problems. In 2014 I moved from 24io and 2408mkIII to 16A and Monitor 8, and the newer units really made the older units sound like garbage in comparison. Conversion has improved so much it’s worth moving into the present.
The preamps will not have gotten worse….

Not sure every 12/7/6 user are hit, though.

These systems have been 12 throughout, and it’s ranged from nonexistent to intermittent to constant, then back again.

Since 11.34 is new, I ran the Time Machine autoatic backup experiment. Got away with no (-43) error for 10 days, this mirrors previous experience, then today it happened, DP froze in the middle of recording, had to force quit. Time Machine hourly snapshot coincided with the error. FWIW!

It would be great to see more interoperability.
