I bought a new HD192 and the fan noise was totally acceptable, but right before I sent it in for another repair the fan suddenly got ALOT noisier! so, no its not normal. I have been googeling the NET and there is an enormous amount of posting of problems with the Ultralite from MOTU and windows based computers. Ok SP2 has problems, but still there are so many postings with problems. I think MOTU should be more honest regarding advertising their products compatible ...

arghhh, confused now
a little confused now
I've been told that :
european/UK is: 1=screen 2=hot 3=cold
US is: 1=screen 2=cold 3=hot
edit: I cant find anything about XLR "standard" in MOTU manual or on HD192.

are the XLR's on my hd192 wired to european or US convention?
European is : 1=screen(ground) , 2=hot(+) , 3=cold(-)
