Congrats on the smooth transition. I've also been using the 2.0 G5 (2.5G ram) for several months now and have been getting good results with buffer settings as low as 64 when doing vocal odubs and playing VIs (monitoring thru a Tascam FW1884), but I usually don't run many plug ins in those situation...

Re: Tascam FW 1884, DP 4.52 and Tiger sticks and then crashe
I've been using DP 4.52 with Tiger and the 1884 for about a month now, and haven't run across any problems like what you're describing. Have you updated to the latest driver for your MIDI interface?

Re: Spectrasonics giving up on DP?
In my previous set up I was using the MAS version of Trilogy, which is no longer supported by Spectrasonics. I was told to download the AU version and install it, and that it may be necessary to re-authorize the plug in. After the install I launched DP, but when it got to the AU exam page the progre...

Re: Spectrasonics giving up on DP?
I had problems loading Trilogy after moving to os 10.4.1/dp 4.52 from os 10.3.8/dp 4.5, but am now running smoothly after helpful emails from Spectrasonics. Ended up having to re-authorize Trilogy when first launching DP.

Re: 44.1 and 48 k samples
Another option, (for the audio from cds at least) would be to import the audio at 48k using iTunes. In the iTunes preferences, choose "importing". When the dialog window opens up select "import using aiff encoder" (instead of mp3 if that's how it's set). Then in the "setting...

Re: Scoring To Picture
"... If your sequence is 120bpm, measure ONE will be at bar 1."
Meant to say measure one will be at 1:00:00:00. Sorry about that.

Re: Scoring To Picture
Another way to do this would be to set your Chunk Start time (in the chunks window, or tempo control drawer) so that measure ZERO starts at 0:59:58:00. If your sequence tempo is 120bpm, measure ONE will be at bar 1. You can add extra negative measures if needed by changing the "measures" v...
