I've completed one song in DP5, in which I used serveral of the new VI's to experiment (+ 1 SampleTank 2.1 instance). Also recorded some voice and some guitar. As I was nearing completion, and wanted to do some small audio overdubs, any attempt to record audio crashed DP5. Freezing MIDI tracks worke...

1/ Selling (hard) counterfeit copies of CD's or software is piracy. 2/ Uploading something for others to copy is piracy (in the vast majority of places). 3/ Downloading something and trying it out and keeping it (without buying a legit copy) is sometimes piracy (depending on the laws of where you li...

Re: OSXAudio is dead, long live osxrecording.com
Personally, I'm more interested in music-making (composing, playing, arranging) than I am in the nuts and bolts of recording it, equing it etc. On OS X Audio, it seems to me the focus wasn't (isn't?) *only* on plumbing. On the face of it, I don't really feel I belong to "A professional communit...

Re: I switched back!
Just completed my first "heavy-duty" session with 4.6 (OS X 10.3.7 / iMac G5 / several VIs / a lot of MIDI tracks / a few audio tracks / 4.52 still installed / project started from scratch). No problems whatsoever. In fact, it felt snappier than usual. Not a spike, not a slowdown, not a cr...

Re: Big problems with 4.6
If memory serves, -39 means "unexpected end of file" which means the file you're trying to open is corrupt.
- Can you open it in an older version of DP 4?
- Do all your DP files produce the same error?!

Re: DP 4.6 IS OUT
Short session to test the pitch-shifting and v-rack. FWIW, I didn't stress it much but no crashing, no spiking. In fact, it felt snappier than usual. I'm on an iMac G5 running 10.3.7.
These are extremely welcome and great additions!!! Merci beaucoup MOTU (does that rhyme ?)
