Slow in opening projects..
Hi
I'm running DP11.22 on an M1 Mac mini 16gb/1TB SSD and also on a MBP M1 Max 32GB/1TB SSD and both are connected to MOTU AO24 interfaces.
When opening the exact same project on the MBP it takes nearly a minute to load where as the MM is around 15 seconds.
Anyone else had this or any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks

Re: Slow in opening projects..
Are you running a lot of VIs and, if so, are the VI Sample Pre-Load sizes identical on both machines?
Any external drives involved?

Are you running over Rosetta 2 either accidentally or because of some plug-in issues? Check in Get Info. If so, that can be the cause.
Try starting DP in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key. This disables extensions and rebuilds pathways. When it comes up, ignore any error messages. Close and restart.
Also try booting the Mac in Safe Mode which rebuilds all your System paths. I’ve learned to do this after any major install or OS update. It’s different on AS Macs.

There are other things to try but only a minute to load doesn’t indicate it may be them.

Re: Slow in opening projects..
Thanks for your suggestions which I'll try over the w/e.
Its my live rig so its very basic, no plugins, no soft synths, no automation on anything just a combination of audio and MIDI, all compacted so no unused audio laying around.
No external drives.

Hi Again,
Slow morning so I've been looking at the suggestions.
Rosetta 2 is not running.
DP in safe mode, nothing.
MBP in safe mode, nothing.
