El Capitan and DP10.01

Post by Phil O »

I'm planning on installing DP on my laptop which is running 10.11.6 (El Capitan). What's the verdict on this. Some here mentioned some issues with the first release of DP10 and El Capitan. Have they been resolved in the update? Can't seem to find much with a search. Thanks.

There's an issue and it's in the 10.01 release notes.

• Fix redraw problems in the "Apply Plug-in" window (macOS 10.11 only).

There are reports it may not have been fixed but I don't know.

Thanks Mike. Shouldn't be a problem for me as I'll only be tracking with the laptop mac (I can't imagine using "Apply Plug-in"). Mixing and mastering is all done on my trash can. Crashes and freezes would be the dealbreaker.

I'm on El Cap. There's an issue where white blocks appear randomly when the GUI is scaled, that seems to be El Cap only, that was not resolved with the .01 update :( Other than that all is a-okay.

Thanks Q. I think I'm gonna back things up and give this a test run. I have to do some remote recording and I'm trying to avoid bringing my desktop. I've got some templates all set up in DP10 and don't want to go back to 9 unless I have to.

We need a fingers crossed emogi.

Yep.
Had a long TechLink discussion with a MOTU tech.
I still don’t understand why this only happens in 10.11.6!
