Re: granular synth?
Any VST or AU plugin will plug into DP, so I assume you're looking for a recommendation. At KVR there will be some threads on this. E.g. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... 8&start=45

Re: granular synth?
Right. Any AU VI will work with DP.
Falcon has amazing granular synth capabilities. Omnisphere's granular engine is very cool too.

Re: granular synth?
Yes, I was looking for a recommendation, and there are a lot of them out there! I didn't know Mach5 had a granularizationism inside! I'll have to look into that.
Thanks!

Re: granular synth?
I think Falcon does as well but love Mach5.
Re: granular synth?
You should post the link to the sounds you posted earlier using Mach5 granular. They were great.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I think Falcon does as well but love Mach5.

Re: granular synth?
Many moons ago I found a granular 'synth' online...freeware or shareware, or something. I could have an audio phrase, or say, someone speaking, and run it through the granular, and it would deconstruct it in wonderful ways. I've watched the tutorials you guys have recommended, and am not sure the software will do what I'm describing. Any more tips or recommendations will be greatly appreciated, and then I'll stop asking.
Thanks,
d.

Re: granular synth?
Unless you can provide more specific in describing the kinds of processing beyond "granular" I don't have any suggestions.

Re: granular synth?
In addition to the above, there's also Halion. Absynth has some granular abilities, as does Reaktor.
There's also a plugin called Granite by New Sonic Arts. I haven't pulled the trigger on that one but it looks nice: http://www.newsonicarts.com/html/granite.php

Why not try the free Reaktor Player and take some of the ensembles for a spin? (Timeouts apply).mike_o wrote:If you own Reaktor then grip is the granular go to for a lot of good reasons.
