What about the analysis files in the DP project folder?

Good question.

I'll look later and I'm calling Prosoft Engineering (Data Rescue 4) this afternoon. Seems like out of the 1,000 recovered aif files SOME should play!

DSP-Quattro has opened audio files for me that DP and QuickTime wouldn't.

Thanks!

Accidentally trashed an active project!

DSP-Quattro had the same issue.

But I did speak to the Data Rescue 4 tech today and he pretty much said (I was trying to take notes)...

When I asked him why I was showing all of the files, the creation date, size, kind, etc. but couldn't use them he explained that I was basically seeing the metadata that no longer points to the audio. The metadata remains and is visible in the list but is no longer connected to the raw audio.

So, overnight, I'm running the Deep Scan (about 9 hours) which will retrieve the audio (he says) but with no metadata. Therefore, no file names, date or creation times.

Which means...listening to each one and hopefully finding Miss Grace's vocals.

Perhaps a system will evolve where they might be, at least, close together in the list(s).

If it takes more than 2 hours to review and identify them, I'm out. She's coming back!

Thanks, guys, for your help.
