Pan Knob in Mono Audio Tracks

DC here!

This gotta be the stupidest question

When I add a mono audio track in my current projects there is NO pan knob
Where did it go?

I distinctly remember all audio tracks used to have one...???

........ make sure it is routed to a stereo output, not a mono one!
