896 MkIII hybrid .. Hi-Z input ..

Hi to all
i'm a new user and I want to buy a new Motu 896 but I don't understand how many input I have, to recording to my mac book pro, for direct guitar or bass (Hi-Z). Sometimes I have to rec 2 guitars and 1 bass and I want to use with direct input to the 896, I can? Or I have limit to 1 or 2 of this input?
I prefer this connection or you can hel me to suggest a motu device with 4 Hi-Z input?

All 8 will work with guitar/bass/mic/line.

Look into MOTU's ZBOX also. I use one with my 828mk3 on the pre inputs.

How do you feel to work with the 896?
Do you have problem with working with your daw?
I want to use LOgic what do you think about and what you use for recording?

woow, i don't see it before on the motu's website, I think it's great to resolve the problem of more hi-z input on the 828mk3 and similar,
