Transfer DP4 and apps from G4 to G5

Just bought a Dual 1.8 G5, and I want to transfer all my apps and files from my old G4 Dual 800 to the spankin new G5.

I know I can use the Firewire mode on the G4 to transfer the files to the G5, BUT....

Do I have to retype all of my registration codes,email setup, web setup, etc.?

If you use the Apple Utility to make the transfer you should not have to do anything but restart your new machine. There a re specific proceedures to follow. Not complicated, but do exactly what they say and nobody will get hurt.

All my apps, commercial and shareware, as well as all files transferred to my new system with out a hitch.

Ps - It's called the Migration Assistane and is in the Applications/Utilites folder. It automatically ran when I bought a Mini.
