What should I do if need a new computer NOW to work. Does Apple have a intel Desktop coming or is it still worth it to buy somthing like G5 Dual2.5? I even had a good deal on a dual 2.7

Mac Rumor sites predict intel desktop this summer, to be announced at Apple developer conference in Aug 7-11.

Who knows if these rumors are true.

If I had a G5 Dual 2.0 like you do, I don't know if I would upgrade to another G5. But that is just me.

Also I am hesitant to jump on the first generation of intel pro desktops too! But I am cautious. I will probably get a G5 machine when the first intels are announced.

At anyrate, you can look at these Dual G5 comparisons at barefeats to get an idea of your current machine vs 2.3, 2.5 and 2.7.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have said that this is a second computer I need for my HOME Studio. The G5 2.0 is at work
