EthnoInstrument is OUT

Post by papageno »

Motu introduced Ethno Instrument.
This is NOT Universal Binary. They would certainly say it if it would be UB.

No hiding behind non-native PACE drivers either, pace UB driver 5.4 is out and downloadable.

UB drivers have been released on May, 15th (that's monday). Today is Thursday which means that the MOTU people had to get the new PACE SDK, wrap their stuff around it, and send it to QA. I wish it was as easy as just pressing a button and release it but I'm affraid it's not.
Oh, BTW, Ethno IS UB.

Cheers,

Gosh, I searched for that info on motu site. Where did you find it?

If ETHNO is UB then we dont have to wait for UB MSI long. They are using basically same engine.

I am hoping by the end of this month... If I remember correctly they did project its release 2nd quarter... that would be right on time.

crosses fingers in anticipation.

I just spent the weekend meticulously going through my hard drive and eliminating unnecessary modules and/or expired demos/etc., to make room for the 8 Gb of samples (I only had 5 Gb of free space on my internal hard drive!).

This brings up a question, but I'll post it as a new topic.
