Knowledge gap
My Zurtzweil PC88 seems to be spewing out a torrent of unwanted MIDI info. I went to the input filter to thin it out, and noticed the check box at the bottom: "Input from MMC Devices".
I have no idea what an MMC device is. Mickey Mouse Club? Anyone...?
Thanks,
Geoff

Hi Tim. Do you not know the Zurtzweil brand? No, I guess not. It was well before your time. I thought you might be interested in a picture to help you to expand your knowledge base for future reference. By the way, I've lost the manual. If anyone has a spare one laying around I'd be interested in acquiring it.Tim wrote:I just looked down at my computer keyboard, and the Z is nowhere near the K.
Cheers,
Geoff

Aha, now there's the problem!! As you are so obviously an unauthorised Zurtzweil user, you patently don't realise that without their special dongle you will be inundated with massive amounts of useless MIDI data!!chamelion wrote:My Zurtzweil PC88 seems to be spewing out a torrent of unwanted MIDI info.

The 't' indicates the model number. I agree that it looks a bit odd putting it right there in the middle of the brand name, but... who am I to tell them how to run their business?dweiss wrote:chamelion wrote:http://www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com/sup ... ml?Id=1635Tim wrote:I've lost the manual. Is nothing sacred? Does blatant plagiarism mean nothing any more? I hope those scoundrels around at Kurzweil are ready for the intellectual copyright lawsuits the good folk from Zurtzweil will undoubtedly slap on them the moment they discover that their flagship instrument has been brazenly pirated and exploited to the detriment of all!dweiss wrote:I see. BTW, that link is to the online PC88 manual.

I could swear that manual is same as the one from my Flirtswell inflatable doll. No, wait, it's my friend's. Just an acquaintance really. Actually, I don't know him at all. Saw it on the Tele.
