un-intelligent snapping??
hello good people!
Could you be so kind telling me how could I put this "artificial intelligence" snapping thing to rest for a bit before snaping myself?

Re: un-intelligent snapping??
I think this crossed by path at some point as well.
Maybe try messing with preferences>continuous data>set event density for ramps.

Re: un-intelligent snapping??
What is snapping? In the tracks overview window I believe all you can do it hit the CMD key to bypass that. In other windows, unblock the little black box above the window (or hit the cmd key) to defeat it. If you want to return to snapping after unchecking that box, hit the cmd key first and drag.

The Command(Mac) Ctl (Win) key lets you override Snap to Grid and Snap to Beat while being held.

Maximized the ticks and got a lot better!

Re: un-intelligent snapping??
Excellent! This was an option they introduced at some point with a senseless default.

This is like Boxing Day with the in-laws. Five conversations going on at once, all unconnected with the other four.

Ok... here we go again
how can I turn this thing off !!
https://s7.gifyu.com/images/2020-07-23_18-48-58.gif
When I fiddle with the volumes for soundbites it works ok.
For MIDI on the other hand it adds extra nodes.
pencilina wrote to mess with the "continuous data"..
apparently it did not do any good
please help...

Re: un-intelligent snapping??
Are any of your snapping settings on (which you can also invert by holding command as you drag)?
Is your event density set less then 50 ticks?

All snapping settings are off and the ticks set to max (60)pencilina wrote:Are any of your snapping settings on (which you can also invert by holding command as you drag)?

The issue is not where the node snaps. But the extra dot that creates. I do not see that when I change the volume on a wave track (soundbite). It happens only to the MIDI.

Re: un-intelligent snapping??
Maybe set ticks to 10- they should be set at the minimum not maximum. It's weird. I've never seen that.
You might need to call motu.
