dix, are the old plugins (.bundle files) still in the Library/Audio/Plugins/MAS folder?
Not in the User Library. They're in the System Library. ...where they've always been, right?

Also, I can no longer Option-drag to zoom on the SE or the ME. Anyone find a way to get that back?

...There's lots of new wonderfulness to talk about. Arguably more than the DP10 upgrade, but I'm trying to get up and running as I'm accustom to.

For Windows users, the certificate issue is still there if you attempt to run the uninstaller, so we are stuck with having both 10.01 and 10.1 residing together until they fix it.

With this huge a bugfix list, I'm installing it anyway!!! :-)

Jumped in head first here. Initial spin around the block seems okay, but damn, does there seem to be a lot of wasted space at the top of the tracks overview? Anyone know if this can be changed?

the scrolling behavior is MUCH improved. Feels great without touching the scrolling pref pane. I love love love the square MIDI note display. uncheck those round edges right out of there. Lots of new Color options besides the Selection color, Clip color, Memory Cycle Color, Memory Play Color, auto record color...

As I recall, Hybrid Arts SMPTE Track used to do this.
You recall correctly. It would also fill the MIDI BUFFER and unload it with a bang if the transport wasn’t moving. All doodling was placed at a single point in time. A glorious noise if you’re into that sort of thing. Lol

Mryon reminded me of the fix. I set the system clock back to September and the uninstall went smoothly, then set it back again. I did have to run the 10.1 modify and repair tool from the Apps and Features page to fix a welcome window glitch, though.

[EDIT] Modify/Repair wasn't enough - the welcome screen was still broken. So, lesson learned - Uninstalling 10.01 first (AND 10.1 if you had installed it) and reinstalling 10.1 is necessary.

I just did it on my other machine and uninstalled 10.01 (setting the date back to September) first, then installed 10.1 without issue.

Logic has had Capture Last Take as Recording forever, and I welcome this in DP!

Oh and while no Chunk folders, there is Chunk colors now. At least I can establish a color for various Chunks to help sort...

Was told folks will also find that the VIs do not need to be reloaded when Hardware settings / bundles change. Something not on the feature list...but welcomed.

Honestly even better than the improvements in velocity handles, the new Velocity Tool (v key command) is fantastic!

 Goodie! The aftertouch issue seems fixed, and MX4 is working again for me. It's been broken a while for me, likely a plug-in conflict issue or something, troubleshooting it has been on my 'to-do' list for quite a while, so WHEEE!

I'll have to get used to the new velocity display in the MIDI editor---

UPDATE

...Just checked out the new Velocity tool. I think I get it, but I don't see any advantage over the tools we already have. Currently I just select notes in the piano roll area, then drag the velocity handles up or down (in the area below). Usually with shift to restrain to vertical movement. I use Control-drag a lot to compress or expand velocities and controller streams.... that doesn't seem to work with the new V tool. What I B missin'?
