I own an old 2408 Mk I.
Recently recording from my tascam da30 dat from spdif, i can hear periodical noise even without playing anything. The clock is set to spdif. The noise is greater from left channel.
The OS is windows 2000 sp4 rollup 1.
If i use the 2408 stand alone, i don't hear any noise from headphones output.
I'm quite sure this didn't happen before. I'm using the latest driver from MOTU.
Maybe I have to try other cables...

Noise from spdif
I installed an old version of pci324 driver and the problem seems to be gone.
But I don't know if there was a corrupted file or it was a problem of recent driver.
It still needs further investigation.
