MOTU units for service (and return speed)

Post by FutureLegends »

Hey!

By MOTU's suggestion I sent my 828mk3 to them (via local distributor) for service. The local guy expected it to take 2-3 weeks (based on earlier cases I asume). It's now been almost 5 weeks and I really need the unit. Has anyone any experience how long the turnaround usually is when sending things for service to MOTU?
Local distributor says we can only wait and I've emailed MOTU but so far no response.

Thanks

I had my 896 repaired but I worked directly with MOTU... It took about 8 days with mail transit:)

Yeah, I've been under the impression that they usually are pretty darn fast when it comes to replacing/repairing their audio interfaces. That's why I'm getting concerned now that it's taken so long... Really need it too :(

I had about a 5 day no hassle turn-around with a 24I/O.

I was impressed.
