is there a painless way of trimming the fat

I've taken a look into some of my project folders and many of them have gigs of audio data.

Is there some easy way that DP7 would do it for me by trashing the audio files not used in that project file ?

Does "File > Compact Project ..." not work for you?

From the Soundbites mini-menu, Select Unused Soundbites, followed by Delete Soundbite.
