Recently worked with a cinematographer who used the Atomos Ninja system, I was incredibly impressed.

Re: Automation weirdness with pitch corrected tracks
I will check this out without my controller today and see if I get the same result.
This is a serious issue, I cannot afford to have it happen in front of clients.

Re: Automation weirdness with pitch corrected tracks
Hey, I had this yesterday, but there was no pitch correction involved. I noticed it when I was automating fadeouts on the final chord of a piece. It happened on each instrument that had a long sustain. I use a Euphonix MCMix. As you say, a weird kind of warbling - it was in a rhythm, for a moment I ...

Re: SoundToys Version 4.2 64 bits is out
Yes it works fine - it's just a little confusing as the dropdown menu lists two of every plugin without differentiating. I think in my system the first one was the bridged VST followed by the AU. I didn't check whether it is simple to transfer settings from one to the other. I've removed the VST ver...

Re: Hybrid ultralite headphones question
Sony MDR 7506 - still my favourites after 20 years - they are 63ohm and sound great with the Ultralite. I generally use a high end spl headphone amp, but when I got the Ultralite I was impressed with its headphone output. Only issue with them is that the earpads wear out, and Sony charge a ridiculo...

Re: SoundToys Version 4.2 64 bits is out
Yes, successfully installed the AU versions and they are working properly. I was pleased to see that the 32bit VST versions were still showing up through JBridgeM as well, just in case I needed to replicate something. Only a few bridged plugins left to go now - these were the important ones!! Cheers...

Re: Mach Five 3 bus assign in Pro Tools 10
Hi there Select Out 2 in MachFive Create an Audio or Aux track - look at input and you you see the drop-down menu list interface, bus and plugin . The plugin option should give a further drop down list where you should see MachFive and all its output options. Just tried it in 10.3.6 - it works! Chee...

Re: MOTU 24 I/O route input1 to input2
Surely it is simple? If you want to hear the input live through your interface, set input 1 to outputs 1-2 in CueMix panned in the middle (as long as the inputs are configured for mono - if they are set to stereo there will only be signal on the left hand channel. In you are recording surely you wou...

Which Boss pedal are you using? Might be a pointless question, but is this an expression pedal, not an audio volume pedal?

Re: Logic X is out
FCPX, agreed, absolutely brilliant. Sure there are things that FCP7 does differently, but, hey, I've got both. For the same sort of reasons I jump between DP and PT, and I have Logic so I can convert - but for me it's not a competition - I view them all as different instruments - like keyboards and ...

Anyway - this is supposed to be about the Slate compressors? Any more reactions? I'm sure they are fab judging by their previous products - I am sure I want them but it will have to wait for now!! Hey Stephen, why don't you demo them.. no harm in that, right? Ah yes of course - I've done tha...

Re: Any opinions on the new Slate compressors?
I have one of those small protective cases for portable hard drives - in it I have a small USB hub attached to a USB cable. Here I can permanently keep my iLok, my Waves USB stick, my VirtualVTR dongle and a spare USB stick for transfers. It travels with me from studio to home and on the road - ever...
