MIDI 2.0
OK don't even know where to post this anymore, so many sub groups. However the new MIDI 2.0 was approved during the recent NAMM show. What ramifications do you see for your work flow, is everyone going to dash out to get new controllers/keyboards even though it's backwards compatible (to some extent...

Re: What are the popular MIDI keyboard controllers w/DP?
Maybe should move this over to a discussion on 2.0.

Re: What are the popular MIDI keyboard controllers w/DP?
Be interesting to see how MIDI 2.0 addresses this, probably require a new keyboard even though is backwards compatible to 1.0. Another thing I wonder is what needs addressing on the DAW side of things.

Re: Waves Wierdness
Thanks for the responses guys, I may try one last time and if no go I'll probably just dump them. I too am getting too long in the tooth to devote a half day or day on something only used sporadically. Cheers

Recently upgraded my iMac from a 2011 to a 2019, did the migration and for the most part everything went fine, a few software upgrades etc., and some peripherals to get it all moving. Now, I hate to harp on a software company but if I'm ever going to have issues it's either Waves or iLok. In this in...

Recently updated my iMac from a 2011 to a 2019. Have a wonderful set of TB-2 Toshiba drives from OWC in a quad format, JBOD is the term if I remember correctly. Now comes TB-3 and USB-C, I've purchased a plethora of cables and adapters, hubs etc to tie in everything from FW-4 to current platform, so...

Re: DP Users should hold off on High Sierra
One last mention at the risk of wearing out my welcome, anyone who uses Helix with the app (not the plug) can rest assured it works, just finished doing some edits for the next gig.

Re: DP Users should hold off on High Sierra
Down and dirty update on High Sierra: Ok, so like an idiot I upgraded even though i've always waited in the past. But having everything back-up via SuperDuper! I thought I'd mess around and could always go back to Yosemite if needed. Well, I somehow gassed my back-up, totally my fault and was left t...

Re: How did you come to using DP ?
We had a project studio in the 80's using an Otari ½ inch 8 track and a 16 channel board. Then purchased a Mac SE for $3200 which I thought was absolutely amazing, 20 meg built in hard drive, wow! Also started with MTP, don't remember when they went south, just recall they were based in Half Moon Ba...

Re: EZ Drummer 2 coming soon
Well, the download for me went slow but everything showed up. Yes I spent a fair amount of time getting the latest and greatest EZX library updates but to me worth the time. Some of the new pre-sets are really good especially on the older type drum kits, love the sounds. Haven't mucked about with an...

64 bit to 32 bit
Can someone explain or point me to an explanation on booting DP8 into 32 bit mode? Thanks in advance.
