Re: Screencast of Composing with DP
Mike, does the Plogue Bidule work well? IE, does it ever crash as DP can when things get hairy on a big project? Chris I've used this setup recently for a pretty music-heavy polyphony-heavy project and it was rock-solid. DP runs fine of course, since there's nothing loaded in it. (Although I do use...

Re: Screencast of Composing with DP
Hi James, Thanks! My setup is pretty streamlined now. Most of the template is hosted in Plogue Bidule on the same computer as DP. Then the audio is routed from Bidule to DP through rewire. Bidule runs about 11 instances of Kontakt and I've tweaked the DFD settings to get this much stuff to load unde...

Screencast of Composing with DP and Bidule
Hi all, I made a couple of little screencast tutorials of me working with DP... I always find these kinds of things interesting to watch, so I thought I'd make my own. I hope you enjoy these: Composing a quick piece: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGBfgaesP-4&fmt=22 Walking through a heroic them...

Is DP6 a 64-bit application?
Hi all,
I couldn't find this information anywhere. Is DP a 64-bit application? Will it allow for 64-bit memory addressing with our huge orchestra libraries (Vienna, EW Play, and other 64-bit samplers)?
I have yet to use the full potential of my Mac Pro 8-core!
Best,
Mike

Retaining Timestamp when Merging Soundbites?
Is this possible?
Timestamping is fine right after the audio is recorded. But if I want to punch in a section in the middle, and then merge soundbites, the timestamping is gone.
Is there any way around this? I'm in DP5.13 and I do a lot of film.
Thanks,
Mike

Who needs AUX busses when you can sum in the 2408?
I haven't heard much of anyone doing this and I'd thought I'd share my setup: I have two 2408 mk3's and four gigastudio PC's and outboard reverbs and stuff. All these things go into my 2408's. Then, on one ADAT bank, I have looped a cable out and right back into the same bank. Then in CUEMIX I send ...

Changing location of recorded audio "Take Folder"
Hi All,
Is this possible? I'm in 5.11 and my project is saving all recorded audio to another audio folder elsewhere on my hard drive. Is there a way to change this?
Perhaps it's a bug, and the answer is to upgrade to 5.13.
Thanks!

Changing mp3 export defaults from 96kbps to something else.
Is there a way to have the default be 160kbps?
Because I'm lazy and I don't want to do the drop-down menu everytime.

Bitrate Dropdown Menu gone?
A buddy of mine, who just upgraded to 5.12 sent me this screenshot. The Bitrate menu is usually right next to the sample rate menu. Did MOTU take it out in the new version?
How can we change the bitrate to 24bit?
