I have a dual boot mac, and everything's sweet BUT when I switch to OS 9 the desktop file gets rebuilt everytime !
anyone knows how to stop this ? I can't waste 1/2 an hour everytime I restart in OS 9 ...

Try the Apple Discussions Forum. This is mostly for DP users.

Seems to me that I recall that Rebuild Desktop has a Cancel button, no?

If not, another thing you could do is to take all but the System Folder off your OS9 partition. Then, it'll only rebuild those files, and you can cancel when it asks if you want to rebuild the other mounted drives.
