Priceless Tip
Jenny and I celebrate our 39th wedding aniversary tommorow. I don't know more than a couple of my peers who aren't either separated or divorced. For anyone out there interested in knowing how to guarantee a long and happy relationship, the answer is so simple. But I can't remember ever reading it, or anyone passing it on to me:
Have your partner be your *Best Friend*.
That's it. If you get that right, it's like a chain reaction and everything else clicks into place. The number one relationship killer: Selfishness.
How can you be selfish with your best friend? You can't.
If your partner isn't your best friend now, do whatever it takes to make it happen. You'll never regret it.
Cheers,
Geoff

I married my Best friend and we are totally inseparable. I love the fact that she knows what I am saying before I say it.
Always on the same page.
9 children and lots of love.
She sings and produces, I engineer, mix and co-produce. It is perfecto
Looking forward to our next anniversary April 11th.
And we give this advice to everyone. If they arent your Best Friend, dont waste your time.

10,000 commercials doesn't make me jealous. 39 years of marraige...??? That does it!!! I'm only on ..what is it? ('83 to'93 to '03 +...) 23 years in May. Just babies!
Congrats! Long term relationships certainly have their benefits

My Advice:
If you know you're wrong, apologize.
If you know you're right, shut up.
I'd rather be happy than right

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more.......it also helps to practice the following two phrases quite regularly:For anyone out there interested in knowing how to guarantee a long and happy relationship, the answer is so simple. But I can't remember ever reading it, or anyone passing it on to me:
Have your partner be your *Best Friend*.
1) Yes, Dear
and
2) You are always right, Dear
