Bounce to Quicktime Movie with audio.

Hi there DP users, I am trying to figure out a problem with bouncing a quicktime movie to disk. Here is the situation:
Start with a quicktime movie with existing audio. Open it in DP using the movie command and now want to bounce a new audio mix to disk along with the movie using the quicktime bounce option in DP.
This seems to work fine, the newly exported movie plays fine on the local machine but if it is uploaded to ftp and then downloaded to another mac there is a error message saying that the audio file cannot be found. Quicktime gives an option to search or cancel. If I select search then cancel the movie will then play but without any sound.... Any suggestions for this one?
If the audio is exported seperately from DP then inserted into the movie file outside of DP using Quicktime then the resulting file works fine.
Using Dp 4.61/QT 7.0.3 on G5 X 10.3.9
Thanks, emusic

Are you using the import movie sound from the drop down movie window? Then include THAT track as well as you music track to the bounced file. Works fine every time for me.

I've had a simular issue actually. Not to hijack but what do you need to do to replace one soundtrack for another? I've tried to add my audio recordings to short concert clips but never got it to render properly.

You probably want to spend $30 on Quicktime Pro. Delete the audio, save as (w/o audio) and use that in DP. Then add your track, bounve to disk and there you are.

Yeah, definitely pick up a Quicktime Pro license. Not only will it help you with the above, but it'll give you some basic editorial abilities and numerous save-to-file format options.
Re: replacing audio. You can delete audio from your QT as stated above, but you can also simply zero the volume of your QT window in DP.
Re: Missing audio when FTPed. It sounds like you might be bouncing a QT reference file instead of a fully compacted QT? Double-check to make sure you're choosing the right save option. If you forget, you can always use QT Pro to resave your bounced QT; it'll compact all elements into one.
In fact, as a rule I always import my QT into DP, copy its audio into a DP audio file, then zero the volume of the QT window, eliminating it from the equation. This way, everything always bounces properly and in sync.
Hope this helps.

Chris,
My only caveat with your suggestion is relatively minor. If you zero the QT audio, you will end up with an audio track you cannot hear. But you will also increase the size of your soundless QT file by including the audio track.
I agree, he is most likely sending a referenced file, not a sefl-contained QT movie. Of course, he could check the file sizes to figure that out cvery quickly.

I see what you mean. Yeah, you can minimize the size of your imported QT by removing its audio track -- that can make it more playback-efficient. Good point. If you know you're not going use the QT's audio, you might as well nix it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Pretty sure I am doing it correctly.
I choose "Include Video Data" and "Duplicate Original" in the BTD, QT Dialog. After BTD it then says saving self contained.... weird... will try the delete original audio in QT first suggested by MIDI Life Crisis
Thanks!
