Mach Five crashed loading in DP first time, can't load now

Post by akisma »

Hi there!

New to the boards here. Great community going on!

I have a problem. I just bought Mach Five for Mac yesterday and installed everything, rebooted, etc. I have the iLok smartkey in a USB port. I started up DP 4 for the first time after installing Mach Five and it asked me to locate the samples folder, which I did (In applications>Mach Five Samples). After that, it said it had to go through an AU verification process that would only happen once, blah blah blah. It went through it and Mach Five crashed the verifier thing twice and so wouldn't load. I rebooted and put the smartkey in a direct USB port rather than on the hub on my keyboard like it was before, and attempted to start it up again. Now it says that it loads Mach Five on the initial splash screen start up cycle where it prints all the plugins as they load, but I can't use Mach Five as an audio plugin on any track, still.

Can anyone help me here? Most of the time I can fix problems by myself, but in this case, I don't even know what the god damn problem is!

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Jessica

Mach 5 will always crash the AU scan in DP. It will only run as a MAS plug. MOTU did this intentionally. You should disregard the failure. As far as getting it to load, are you choosing (from the studio menu I believe) Add Track>Instrument Track>MachV ? That should work.
