I upgraded to Tiger 10.4.3 from 10.3.9. DP works fine but MachFive hangs DP (or Logic) when trying to load. I use a TiBook 1GHz with 1GB of Ram.
I Installed the new updated of MachFive but I still get the same problem.
I tryed to repair permissions and trash prefs but same old...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi,
I got the same problem last night. I use Tiger 10.4.3 on a Powermac 2.3 GHz dualcore, DP 4.6 and MachFive 1.2.3.
When MachFive wasn't installed I could launch DP, Cubase LE or Garage Band. When MachFive is installed these applications stay frozzen; for DP I can read: "loading plug-in: MachFive MAS.bunddle".... after 15 minutes I force to quit.
I asked the Techsupport of MOTU and wait for a response. I' ll let you know but if you have any quick solution ... I'll take it
Any idea?

Hi,
two weeks later, the problem is still there. the MOTU helpline doesn't find a solution for me. I tried everything found on this user community (and others).
Has somebody experienced such a problem like a new product with corrupted CD/DVD. I've heard about a blank install CD for Symphony, why not a corrupted file on a MachFive install CD?
If some news you'll be informed.
Hasta la vista

Hi,
I had the same problem until I saw that I chose the VST version instead of the AU version....under the menue. Make sure you don't chose MACH5 VST!
It works fine now...

Hi Hellcat,
thank you for response but what menue are you speaking about? I'm a beginner with MachFive and DP, and sometimes things aren't so evident for me.
I tried a personnal install of M5, only choosing MachFive MAS, are we speaking about the same thing?
Thanks again!

Hi, last night I found solution. This could help some frenchie user because 50% of the problem seem to be a localization issue. The other part could be helpfull for anybody using a bad USB hub. See below the mail I send to MOTU tech.
Firstly, after the OS X 10.4.2 installed in US english and not
in french as it was installed when I bought the Powermac, I
made the setup for DP and MachFive 1.2 . With the installation
of the i-lock appeared this message asking to load "InterLok
Mac OS X extensions installer v5.3.3" on PACE Antipiracy
website. I've never seen this message with the French OS X. I
made the update.
Then I uninstalled MachFive 1.2 and installed MachFive 1.2.3
After that DP loaded normally (without frozen screen) but I
couldn't load MachFive properly. This was the second problem:
in fact the i-lock plugged in a USB hub wasn't efficient. I've
got no error message about i-lock but when I asked MachFive in
DP, a window proposing a log or text file was appearing. I hit
the "Enter" key and MachFive loaded normally. This din't
appear with the i-lock on the original USB port on the Powermac.
Today I bought a new USB hub and the problem totally disappeared.
Thanks to everybody tried to help me in this topic.
Music for ever.
