Post by robore »

Im making a clean OSX Panther installation and i want to know how is the best way to install DP. Do i have to install all the updates that MOTU has released since 4.5 or should i just install 4.61?
Thanks.

According to the MOTU site, all you need is OS 10.3.7 and DP 4.5. I'd just do it.

yep, i did it. Upgrade Panther and then DP from 4.5 to 4.61. This DAW really rocks. Much better than with Tiger.
Cheers.

Y'all gonna laugh...but I'm still using DP 4.12 and OS 10.3.2. I have a Mackie Universal and believe it or not I'm running DP audio thru a legacy 2408 (PCI-324). No kernal crashes as long as I use the audio interface only for DP.

I'm planning to upgrade to 10.3.9 to install Final Cut Pro 5 (only works from 10.3.9 and up), and wanted to get feedback as to my set-up. Any gremlins I should be aware of...?

I have a Quicksilver Dual G4 with 1gb of RAM.

Cheers,
