changing buffer size from 1024 to 2048

when mixing we want to change the buffer size from 1024 to 2048 to allow for more plug ins to be utilized but in DP 4.61 the option for 2048 and 4096 are greyed out. I was able to do this in DP 2.72 but not here. does anyone know why? and if so, what can be done to remedy this problem?

yea me too,I am curious, does it have to do with your interface?

HI all
it seems you can only do this when working at high sample rates, eg; 88 or 96 and when you think about it it is logical as you need the extra buffer to offset the higher Cpu useage.

I don't believe this is true. I work at 24bit/44.1 k and I can get 2048 buffer settings on my system.
I think it's wholly dependent upon your audio interface and what it can handle. I used to have an M-Audio Audiophile that only went up to 1024. I stepped up to a Tascam FW1804 and immediately got 2048.

Mm
good point on the 828Mk2 I can only get 1024 unless using higher sample rates

In "Configure Audio Hardware", set you buffer to 1024 and Host Buffer Multiplier to 4 to get a 4096 sample buffer. It doesn't matter if you don't have other interfaces connected. Perhaps this will give you more overhead.
