Bounce to disk - greyed out

DP11.34
Was mixing a Sequence playing through V-Rack in a DP project file.
Tried to do a 'Bounce to disk' and DP11 crashed. I'm aware that there are in Sequoia (OS X 15.5) potential conflicts between MOTU and other plugins.
Tried everything I could think of, to fix. DP keeps on crashing every time I select 'Bounce to disk'.
Now, when I open a project file, the 'Bounce to disk' option is greyed out in the File menu. Any DP project file I open now has this issue.
Has anyone had a similar experience and is there a cure? Am awaiting response from MOTU tech support and will share any solutions I find.

I almost never use bounce to disk, and run all my mixes in realtime. I suppose it is because I trust it so little that I'd have to listen to the bounce in realtime anyway, so might as well. Invariably, I hear something during the bounce and have to tweak it anyway.
Issues with bounce to disk sort of quasi-validate my superstitions.
Even working on hour+ long voice overs, I use bite-gain, (x/)fades, merge, apply plugins, and --when necessary-- run it in realtime in the background of a long coffee break to avoid it.

I only use BTD. Without seeing your system, I have no idea what is happening.
MOTU Support can screen share and take a look.

It gets complicated. I haven’t had problems with BTD, and use it sometimes. But even if I do a real time mix and write it to disk, I have to listen to it again. Can’t assume it wrote correctly in real time or with BTD. And usually, I listen to it in a different application like DSP-Q or just select-spacebar it in the Finder.
At best BTD saves a minute here and there. I could like without it.

I've used BTD for decades w/o a problem. Scores for Sony Home Entertainment, TCM, AMPAS, and more theater, dance, and magic shows, etc., that one can count, and never a single problem except for user error and errant plugins. Oh yes, errant plugins will crash DP on bounce. PSPXenon was the worst until they updated it.
So... try BTD with no plugins and I'll bet my first born that BTD is just finel To quote William Shakespeare: " The fault lies not within the app, but within our plugins." Fun fact: Shakespeare was a big fan of MOTU, but it meant something entirely different in those days and I can't say what due to forum rules. Darn it!

BTD had a longstanding bug that wasn’t squashed till recently (11.34).
• Fixed a bug that could cause unselected tracks to become selected when bouncing to disk.
Non-highlighted tracks might show up in your mix unless the tracks were muted. If bouncing a stem, I would solo the desired tracks, automatically muting all others to prevent this.
I was surprised to read when this fix happened because soloing/muting selected tracks as a workaround had been so ingrained in my workflow that I’d forgotten about the bug that required it.
Other than that, If BTD didn’t work perfectly for me, I wouldn’t be using DP.
