828 MKIII Hybrid and ADAT Issue

Hi
I recently acquired an 828 mk III hybrid and an 8pre Firewire. I'm using an M1 MacBook Air (OS 14.7.4). I installed the latest MOTU installer (Mac v89555) following the procedure described (https://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/ ... audio-inst).
The card is recognized on my computer. I can use the two XLR inputs, as well as the eight line inputs. The outputs are also available.
CueMix FX and MOTU Audio Setup are available and working.

However, I can't use the card's ADAT. I tried connecting the 8pre Firewire; the preamps work, but the signal doesn't appear on my computer. In CueMix FX, Bank A and Bank B appear (I selected them as "ADAT optical" in MOTU Audio Setup), but no signal appears.

I tried with another ADAT preamp (Audient ASP800) and the problem is the same. This preamp works in ADAT with a different sound card.

I should point out that I tested with different optical cables.

I've read several threads on this forum related to my problem, but nothing works :banghead:

Can someone help me please?

Best :headbang:

MOTU's overview states that what you want can be done on a Mac. It should just work.
https://motu.com/products/motuaudio/8pre

These are the two most likely things:

Are you letting your DAW access the Mac's microphone? This must be done for all audio and AV apps on a Mac.

Settings/Privacy & Security/Microphone

Have you reset everything to factory default?

Although your 8pre is no longer supported, the 828mk3 Hybrid still is (I think). If the above suggestions don't work, I'd contact MOTU Support.
